Dolores (Dee) Hagey

Dolores (Dee) Hagey

For Dolores (Dee) Hagey, moving from Chicago to Carmel in 1978 was an adjustment. Thanks to her husband Harry's suggestion, she joined the Auxiliary at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. This was a welcome introduction to the hospital and the services provided to the community.

"Harry believed we should contribute to charitable organizations that serve our area. We became donors in 1978 and when he died, I suggested that memorial gifts be sent to the hospital. Continuing to donate to Community Hospital honors his wishes.

This outstanding facility and the Westland House (formerly Hospice House) have played key roles in my life and inspired my support. The outstanding care I received at Westland House after three surgeries within a year enabled me to get to know most of the staff. This was a wonderful opportunity to truly appreciate the value of Westland House to the community. My gifts to the hospital, and to Westland House in particular, enable me to express my gratitude."
